Facebook Event

Toronto Guitar School’s RockBand & Ensemble Auditions! It’s FREE to audition! All instruments and levels are welcome! We will be aiming to start up new additional bands this month and fill a few spots in our 4 existing RockBands and Ensembles that rehearse Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During your audition, a Toronto Guitar School instructor will interview you about your past experience, playing ability, musical interests and hear you play. After the audition session, each member will be put into groups to get ready for band rehearsals!

HOW IT WORKS

Bring your instrument to the audition so you can meet and jam with others. We will provide all the necessary amps and sound equipment you will need for the audition. A drum set, piano and/or keyboard, guitar amps and a PA will be available for those that need it. You’ll also get a chance to tour our studios and have all your questions answered. Each group will be supervised by a Toronto Guitar School instructor who will assist with the running or organization of the rehearsals.

Members that come to the RockBand auditions will have the opportunity to attend weekly rehearsals starting the last week of May. These weekly rehearsals cost $20 per session and will run for an initial trial period of 4 weeks. Members will then have the opportunity to renew for another round of 8 sessions with their band starting the following session.

Mint Music and The Toronto Guitar School organize free school concerts 3x a year open to the public which your group is welcome to perform at. Other performance opportunities, professional recording and video services also exist for those that are interested.
