Tammy Whetham

Voice Instructor

Tammy Whetham holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Voice from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has attended the Banff Professional Musical Theatre Training Intensive in 2012 and 2013 and the NYU Steinhardt: Summer Study in Musical Theatre in 2009.

Tammy is a certified voice teacher in Somatic Voicework℠ The LoVetri Method from the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute. In 2010 Tammy worked as the lead female singer in the production cast onboard the Pacific Venus, Japan Cruise Line.  As a member of the ensemble Arcady, Tammy performs regularly under the direction of composer/conductor Ronald Beckett. She has appeared as a featured soloist with the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra, The Habourtown Sound, and at the Cambridge Mayor's Celebration of the Arts.

Some of her most recent stage credits include, Amber in Hairspray (Hammer Entertainment), Holly in The Wedding Singer (Hammer Entertainment), Jane in Two & Two Make Sex (The Black Forest Inn), Heather in Nana’s Naughty Knickers (Mohawk Dinner Theatre), Shelley in Batboy (Laurier Musical Theatre), and Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown (Laurier Musical Theatre).  Tammy was recently the recipient of the Bernice Adams Award for Music.
