Guitar Instructor
An accomplished multi instrumentalist (guitar, bass, pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo) producer, and award winning songwriter (VIMA for Best Country Single) , Duncan has spent most of his life learning, writing and performing music. Duncan has spent the last two years living and studying in New Orleans, where as a graduate assistant he obtained a Masters of Music in Jazz Performance from Louisiana State University. After graduation, he was hired to continue teaching private lessons.
He has produced and recorded several albums under his own name and his works have been performed by LSU Jazz Ensembles and the LSU Big Band
As a sideman, Duncan has been fortunate to play guitar and pedal steel alongside Jim Cuddy, Ed Robertson and jazz musician Brad Turner.
Duncan loves to teach and brings his patience and friendly demeanor to lessons. His approach is personalized to help meet the student’s goals, and uses this as a way to instill a thorough knowledge of music and an excitement for learning. He is excited to share his knowledge of Jazz, Rock, Blues, Country, Bluegrass music and more!
